Why not program a web app for signup?

Post by Mecsrt »

Hi!

It might make sense to develop a simple web app for signup.
Where the user just fills the form's fields with the information and then generates the contract between the company and the patient. This can reduce the work load.

We already did a rough version of an app that let members apply. They entered info in all the fields and it was stored in our server. It also tracked membership status, payment status, life insurance status, etc. It took a lot of time. And then it was hard to maintain. The server is still sitting there, powered off. Since then, we've settled on a business model that has no "members", so that made the app unnecessary. We may change the business model some day, but that's what it is for now. An app like that is worth it only if a company has a lot of paying customers. It has to save money somehow. As a non-profit, it just doesn't make sense for us. Having members would just generate more phone calls that we don't want, and an app would just exacerbate that problem. We did have one paying next-of-kin customer without a printer. That was interesting. We finally mailed hard copy and then they mailed it back. It's just two forms, so no big deal.
