I live in Vancouver and found out about your company through the organizer of lifespan BC (http://www.meetup.com/LifespanBC/). I've been considering Alcor and was curious to know how your guys are doing... would you consider posting information (on an ongoing basis) such as how many "patients" you have and how many people have registered just so newcomers can get a sense of the state and stability of the organization.

You can always see how many patients we have by going to the Case Reports page at the bottom of the About OC page. 2 patients, and one more arriving shortly. As for members, we have been sort of discouraging people from signing up unless they are local or have no other options. We would rather get our web server running so that people can manage their own membership without calling us or mailing us. I think we have about 10 members right now, but I expect that number to dramatically increase once we make it easy for people to sign up online without any hassle. We want membership management to be all digital.
In your case, because you are somewhat local, it would make sense to sign up with us right now. Forms are available on our website.

Are you aware that, no matter which company you sign up with, your service will be very poor in Canada?

It's refreshing to find Oregon Cryonics. I called today and the phone was answered immediately. I would like to become involved with Oregon Cryonics. My cryonics background is that I found out about it in high school when I saw it on the news and my immediate reaction was that cryonics was a good idea! I worked unpaid as lab assistant at 21st Century Medicine in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I have visited Suspended Animation, Cryonics Institute, TransTime, Alcor. I served as a board member and student director with the American Cryonics Society. I want to get involved in cryonics again and help in anyway. I don't think people should be put in the ground. I think we can find a way to improve low temperature preservation and this is my primary discussion interest. I want to make friends with all cryonicists to keep cryonics viable and bring it into the mainstream. I don't like how 'modern medicine' gives up. I appreciate that Oregon Cryonics keeps cryonics affordable and accessible to all.

Is there a way to subscribe to _all_ topics in this forum and receive them as a daily digest?
Right now I have to individually go to each topic and subscribe, and I think even after subscribing the email notification does not work.
