Standby services for enrollees who are very near to legal death

As we have improved our capabilities over the past year, I wanted to provide an update on our standby options and current pricing estimates (which are determined on a case-by-case basis).

We offer standby services for individuals who are known to be gravely ill and are expected to experience legal death very soon. Our trained staff members (Pathology Specialists) can travel within the US. We work with cooperative local funeral homes to perform the procedure (similar to cryonics organizations like Alcor), or if the location is nearby, we may be able to perform the procedure in our vehicle.

Estimated Prices:

- First day of standby: $3,650
- Each additional consecutive day: $1,200

These estimated prices are for one staff member. For two staff members, the cost doubles. A second staff member might be necessary in situations where we cannot receive adequate notice about imminent legal death, requiring more coverage to enable a more rapid response from the hotel to the location. (Note that even with two staff members, 24/7 bedside coverage may not be possible.)

Note that the prices may vary based on the specific location (which affects travel time, hotel costs, local costs such as rental car fees, etc). So please specify your location when inquiring about services.

Alternative Options:

We understand that standby services aren't the right choice for everyone. We are certainly not trying to push this option on anyone. Some may prefer to work with qualified local professionals such as:

- Pathology assistants
- Deiners

We're happy to share our recommended protocols with other qualified professionals. While our employees are trained in brain preservation procedures, we aim to be as transparent as possible about our procedures. However, we do wish to emphasize that these procedures require proper training and cannot be safely or effectively performed by untrained individuals.
