Chemical fixation will lead to superior biological revival

Post by jordansparks »

Chemical fixation quality is better than cryopreservation quality. This is a simple fact with a long history and overwhelming mainstream scientific consensus. Many people who want biological revival are attracted to the shiny promise of reversibility that cryonics seems to offer. Don't get sucked in to that false promise. Cryonics is no more reversible than chemical fixation. Yes, there are some cryobiologists who hope to create a reversible protocol some day, but they have certainly not done so yet. I'm extremely skeptical that it's even possible because perfusion is always impaired to some degree. With impaired perfusion, there's just no clear path to make it workable without millions of microrobots. The cryobiologists will continue to fail, year after year. In the meantime, we must live in the real world. We can only provide procedures that have actual evidence for good structural preservation, and issues of revival will need to wait for higher technology. That leaves us with only one validated option: chemical fixation. If you want biological revival, you should choose chemical fixation as offered by SBP. By starting with better initial quality, the revival quality will also be better. Chemical fixation is 100% compatible with future biological revival and it is superior to cryo.
