Customers

Post by jordansparks »

We do still get a few customers even though I made it really clear on our main page that we are not capable of much right now. After a dry spell, we just got two brains in a row. We also get a few phone calls per month that don't result in us providing any services. Some of them are very sad, people consumed with grief and with unreasonable expectations. Some are crazy, whether I realize it immediately, or whether I have to talk to them for a while before that becomes clear. A number of callers are completely rational, hunting for services that simply aren't available from anyone yet. If we were further along, we could help that last group of people. It shouldn't be too much longer.

Off the top of your head, can you give a ball park ( in percentages) of the distribution of various categories the caller fall into i.e unreasonable expectations vs crazy vs reasonable expectations etc. Also some absolute numbers. Just want to get a sense of the numbers out there.

I would say roughly even thirds. Between emails and phone calls, we make contact with about one new person per week. The absolute number was higher when our website was more optimistic, and I expect that number to return to higher once we return the website to a more optimistic stance.
