The Future of Cryopreservation Research?
The Future of Cryopreservation Research?
With the recent advancements in brain preservation techniques, particularly the work being done on aldehyde stabilization and cryoprotection, I've been thinking about the potential of using brain organoids to accelerate research. We've seen promising developments in creating functional brain organoids in vitro, and I wonder if they could serve as a valuable tool for testing and refining cryopreservation protocols.

The best model for testing and refining structural preservation is donated human cadavers. We use a lot of cadavers. Organoids are very small. I suppose they could be useful to certain scientists for something, but it seems pretty far removed from what we are doing.
