Number of forum views

I just noticed that a post I made last month has nearly 5000 views. There's no way. I would expect maybe around a hundred of those are legit, and many of those are repeats because it was an ongoing conversation. I suspect Russian bots because we've been getting a few Russian spammers. But still, 5000? It's frustrating because I really would like to know how many legitimate views there are.

I could probably have Google Analytics installed for you if you wanted. This would give you more info on your viewers (OS, location, time of visit, etc.), and so help identify which traffic was legit.

I use their free plan on my forum. I'm not sure if they block bot views though.

Now it says hundreds of thousands or even millions. So weird!

We're super popular. Not much I can do about it. It does make me happy to see so many bots who think this is interesting. Maybe that results in more people seeing this? Not sure.
