I've been thinking about how much to charge for revival to make it accessible to everyone and I think a good starting point is one billion dollars.
Your first impression might be, woah! That's so much money! Only the uber wealthy people like Elon Musk can pay for it.
That's not fair: what about all the poor open source developer saints and my grandma and James Bedford!
I would argue that most people in the developed world could afford the billion dollar payment, and its just a question of when it's made.
Why a billion dollars?
Trader Joe's has increased the price of my frozen goto Thai food by 50% over the last two years and I don't like that.
With how global countries' debt is right now, a billion dollars sounds about right for an affordable massage-equivalent service many decades hence.
It would take approximately 150 years to turn $10,000 into $1,000,000,000 at an 8% annual return.
I'll bring you back for a billion dollars

Re: I'll bring you back for a billion dollars
Are you suggesting that a billion dollars would be affordable at that time, or are you suggesting that they would spend the next hundred years paying off a debt after revival?
Re: I'll bring you back for a billion dollars
I guess this post is mostly a high concept piece about the compounding and inflation on the way up meeting the cost reduction on the way down and guessing where they meet.
Indentured servitude based revival would really suck!
